easyJet Announce New Winter Season Routes

easyJet Announce New Winter Season Routes easyJet has joined in with the announcement of winter services at affordable prices from a number of UK locations, TravelMole has reported.

The low-cost airline is to begin a series of routes throughout Europe for the winter season. Travelling mainly to the sun for the cold winter months, 15 new routes have been announced, eight of which will depart from UK airports.

Popular winter destinations including Sharm el Sheikh and Paphos will be on the menu at London Luton whereas those travellers who want to travel to Fuerteventura to get away from it all can now do so from Liverpool and London Stansted. Liverpool will also be adding an extra route to Lanzarote, whereas London Gatwick will be offering new flights to Hamburg and Porto. France’s Lyon Airport will be served by Edinburgh Airport.

easyJet is also adding extra flights from other European airports with six new schedules from Rome and one service going from Madrid.

The new schedule is set to start on 2 November with the first flight from Liverpool to Fuerteventura. The rest of the services will be rolled out from early November until 2 February 2010.

Chief executive Andy Harrison said: “Times are tough for consumers so we are proud to offer great year-round holiday destinations for incredibly low prices.”

The pricing is certainly competitive. UK fares for the new easyJet schedule begin from £27.99 one-way if you want to travel to Lyon from Edinburgh. It will cost £75.99 one-way using the three times a week service from London Luton to Sharm el Sheikh.
