Travel Websites are Start of Holiday Experience

Travel Websites are Start of Holiday Experience Travel websites are the start of the holiday experience for many consumers, one expert has said this week.

According to UK-based web design and build company Fortune Cookie, travel websites are more than just a booking facility, they are the place where Holidaymakers make key decisions in finding the right break.

Justin Cooke, managing director of Fortune Cookie, said: "The website is the start of the holiday experience – it's about asking you where you want to go, how much you want to spend and what it is you are looking for."

He added that research carried out by the firm has revealed that having extras such as interactive tools on a travel website can help people make decisions and, more importantly, bookings.

In related news, online comparison service Travelsupermarket.com said this week that boozy Brits are giving the nation a bad name abroad, due to their partying ways.

A spokesperson added that stag and hen parties taking place in foreign countries, in particular, do not help the image of British tourists abroad.
