TUI Nordic Gives Thumbs Up to Phuket Resorts
Leading leisure travel group TUI Nordic recently conducted a survey on its Scandinavian customers, according to a report from ftnnews.com. The group distributed questionnaires in which they asked respondents to evaluate hotels where they had stayed in 2008.
It was found from the results that Centara Karon Resort Phuket was the firm favourite and was placed number one in the world. At number three in ranking was Centara Kata Resort Phuket, another resort in Thailand, especially popular with families travelling with children.
Both the Karon and the Kata resorts are within the “Blue Hotels” brand, created by TUI Nordic to draw attention to its most coveted and highly regarded properties.
TUI Nordic, is one of 180 travel arms of TUI Plc (UK) throughout the world, and operates in over 25 source markets, serving 30 million customers. The Scandinavian group comprises three businesses: a scheduled airline, a chartered airline and a tour operator which sells holidays to Scandinavians.
Centara Karon Resort Phuket has four resort zones complete with three swimming pools and excellent sports facilities, with excellent panoramic views on to Karon beach and hills beyond. It has been billed as serving discerning individuals, families and couples, with typically excellent Thai hospitality.
Centara Kata Resort Phuket is located at the picturesque Kata Beach and is particularly well-suited for families as it gives the option of self catering facilities and offers the attraction of a children’s club. It also has three swimming pools, and Spa Cenvaree.
Other popular destinations where Centara operates include Bangkok, Hua Hin, Krabi and the Maldives.
