Switzerland Offers a Huge Array of Things to Do

Switzerland Offers a Huge Array of Things to Do Although many may think Switzerland only caters for those interested in skiing, one expert has suggested that there are a variety of things to do in the country outside of the winter season.

Steve Thomas, managing director of Alpine Property Investments, said that Holidaymakers can enjoy mountain biking, hiking, climbing and horse riding.

Meanwhile, keen golfers can take advantage of "breathtaking views" at a course up in the mountain villages, or play on the European Masters Championship course at Crans Montana.

"The Swiss alpine resorts are working villages and means they are full of activity all year round with visitors frequenting not just in the high season," he commented.

Switzerland also boasts a number of thermal spa resorts that are open throughout the year, the expert added.

According to the Swiss Federal Statistics Office, the country saw a 5.7 per cent increase in the number of arrivals and stays in 2006.
