SriLankan Airlines Launches 'Frequent Flyer' Programme
SriLankan Airlines has launched its new frequent flyer programme this month.The 'SmiLes' initiative began on April 1st and promises a wide range of exciting rewards for passengers of the airline's award-winning National Carrier.
Manoj Gunawardena, head of worldwide passenger sales, said: "SmiLes will open the door to a world of rewards for our passengers.
"[We] will be introducing a number of partner airlines and other companies, which will offer members a choice to both earn and burn miles for a variety of goods and services."
He added that these benefits will range from hotel stays to bank services.
The SmiLes scheme will have three tiers of membership gold silver and blue which will be decided according to how many miles passengers have accrued.
In related news, at the end of last month the Sri Lankan government announced that it will now use the airline for all foreign visits to the nation by VIPs and government officials.
