Spanish Deals Slashed

Spanish Deals Slashed Rising competition among travel companies has led to massive discounts on package Holidays, according to a new study.

The research from Travelcare and Co-op Travel found that cheap breaks in Spain are getting even cheaper, as tour companies fight for British business.

Thanks to the rising popularity of no-frills airlines, many travel agents have been forced to offer increasingly cut-price deals.

It's great news for UK holidaymakers though, as prices are slashed on package Holidays to some of the most popular destinations.

Menorca, Ibiza and the Costa Blanca were found to experience the biggest reductions in the last year, with prices cut by around 13 per cent for groups of four.

Leading UK agent Thomson has gone a step further, cutting the price of its July package Holidays To Spain by up to 50 per cent.

The survey followed the recent news that easyJet is to expand its business into the package holiday market, with its new company easyJet Holidays.
