Shoppers From Around the World 'Flock to Dubai'
An annual shopping festival held in Dubai attracts people from all around the world, one of the event's senior organisers has said.
The latest Dubai Shopping Festival, which is to take place for a month from 15 January, will offer visitors the chance to access good discounts and even win prizes, according to Abdulla Hassan Amiri, operations and logistics manager for Dubai Shopping Festival Office.
It will be the event's 14th consecutive year of helping to promote Dubai as a well-known shopping and entertainment-based holiday destination, he added.
Commenting on some of the many attractions offered to travellers in Dubai, Abdulla Hassan Amiri said: "There's entertainment, there's the biggest malls in the world, there's the desert."
He added: "There are a lot of opportunities, good discounts and cheaper prices with our zero-VAT."
Organisers of the Dubai Shopping Festival have said it attracts more than two million attendees each year.
The extravaganza promises to offer a vast array of family entertainment, including children's events, international fashion shows, street performances, nightly fireworks and musical shows.
