Royal Caribbean Deploys in Europe with Ten Ships
There is news that the Royal Caribbean International fleet will be increasing its number of vessels in Europe in 2011. Up until recently the cruise company has had eight ships deployed in Europe but now they have an additional two ships bringing the total number to ten.
The cruise line is to offer a selection of over 100 itineraries, ranging from three to 18 nights and will visit 27 countries and 78 ports. There will be maiden European season sailings from Barcelona and Palma from Liberty of the Seas and Grandeur of the Seas respectively.
For a second summer, Adventure of the Seas will sail short Mediterranean cruises from Malaga. There is a 2011 brochure with sections detailing a variety of holiday choices including short breaks, traditional fortnightly holidays and winter sun holidays.
Fly-cruise itineraries will be offered by Navigator of the Seas, Voyager of the Seas and Brilliance of the Seas to the eastern Mediterranean, Turkey and the Greek islands. Meanwhile, Vision of the Seas will offer sailings in the Baltic and Norwegian fjords.
There are also planned winter sun sailings from Barcelona to Egypt, Sicily, Malta and Greece, with a return to Dubai for cruises in the Arabian Gulf and to Bombay and Goa, according to an report in TravelMole.
A number of short cruise options will be made available for those who wish to sample a cruise for the first time. To encourage early bookings, before 30 June early bird discounts of up to £500 per cabin, are on offer. Already, sales have begun for the major part of the European programme.
