Robin Hood Airport Promises Excitement for 2008

Robin Hood Airport Promises Excitement for 2008 Robin Hood Airport is set for another exciting year, flying passengers to places that were previously not on the menu at the South Yorkshire hub.

Steve Adamson, product development and communications manager at Robin Hood Airport, said: "We have welcomed over one million passengers in the last 12 months, and the new routes already announced to commence in 2008 will ensure another exciting year at Robin Hood Airport.

"Everyone flying over the festive period should visit robinhoodairport.com and remind themselves of the usual security restrictions applying to hand baggage."

In the new year Robin Hood Airport will begin to operate seven new flight routes – six international and one domestic.

Passengers flying from the Doncaster-based airport will be able to jet off to Poznan, Wroclaw and Warsaw in Poland as well as Heraklion in Crete and Pula in Croatia.

Nearer to home an additional flight to Jersey will take to the skies as of March and in May 2008 Thomson will begin operating a service to Kefalonia.

Robin Hood Airport has been keen to expand its passengers’ horizons and in 2007 launched a series of new flight routes.

The most recent of these include an additional flight service to Geneva operated by Thomsonfly.com and Ryanair’s new route to Alicante, which began in November this year.
