Revitalised Manhattan Makes for NYC Promotion
A new campaign should attract even more holidaymakers to take cheap flights to New York from the start of next month as the city's tourism authority will be promoting the Lower Manhattan district.
The Get More NYC: Lower Manhattan campaign makes its debut on 1 June can will not only capture the attention of those considering New York holidays but also the international media as well. The purpose of the campaign is to demonstrate how thoroughly revitalised that Lower Manhattan district is ten years after the tragic events of 11 September 2001.
Proud to announce the new initiative, New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg said: "A crucial part of the story of September 11th is how Lower Manhattan - an area many people said would turn into a ghost town – has come back in the past 10 years. People from across the country and around the world have contributed to its revival, and now we want our visitors to see that full recovery for themselves."
The campaign will feature a selection of brand new tour itineraries for visitors to enjoy. Additionally, tourist related businesses such as cheap hotels and local restaurants, shops, art galleries, museums and other tourist attractions will be running special discounts and promotions. This should help visitors' money stretch even further and allow them to allocate more to the New York holiday shopping budget!
UK holidaymakers who will take cheap flights to New York from next month will have the added bonus of seeing a spruced up John F Kennedy airport complete with posters and decorations highlighting the Lower Manhattan promotion.
