Paris Presents Baroque and Jazz
Paris will present a festival which will fuse a variety of musical flavours for tourists' delight later this year.
Between 5 September and 12 October the Festival d'Ile de France will take place, showcasing the best Europe has to offer in world music, laid-back jazz grooves and baroque sensations.
As many as 30 musicians from around the globe will perform during the programme, which organisers promise will make a "musical discovery".
"Music and locations are selected in close relation, so that the container and the contents mutually provide meaning and emotion," they add.
Over 22,000 spectators are expected to attend the festival, which could provide those taking city breaks in the French capital with some entertainment during their visit.
The Lonely Planet Travel guide describes the French capital as a stimulating city, which boasts a bevy of "breezy boulevards" and art museums.
