Package Holidays 'Benefit' Families

The perks of package holidays stand to benefit families, travelsupermarket.com has said this week.

According to the comparison service, with a package holiday families can easily find support within their resort and have the comfort of knowing "everything is included".

Kayte Williams, holiday travel manager at travelsupermarket.com, said: "Generally, package holidays suit a family model, given that there are lots of additional extras usually included.

"Families can pre-book things like cots and pushchairs for their children and these are things you wouldn't necessarily get if you went out and booked your flight and hotel separately."

She added parents can also benefit from the use of children's clubs.

Research released by Halifax Travel recently found that 2.5 million Brits take a package holiday to an exotic location every year and only spend around seven hours away from their hotel.

Furthermore, 70 per cent of those on package holidays fail to visit modern tourists attractions, such as water parks.
