Now is the Time to Book 'All-Inclusive Holidays'
Now is the time to book all-inclusive Holidays, as the sterling is weak against the Euro, says one industry expert.According to low-cost airline Thomsonfly, European destinations such as Turkey are proving particularly popular with Holidaymakers, with First Choice reporting a 30 per cent increase in bookings for this location.
Head of planning and trading at Thomsonfly, Alan Pugh, said: "As additional costs in European destinations - food and beverage, for example - would be paid in Euros exchanged from pounds, there has never been a better time to book an all-inclusive holiday."
According to research published by the Post Office this month, sterling is now worth nearly 17 per cent less against the Euro than it was in April 2007.
However, the report did reveal that sterling has gained in value against certain currencies, such as the Jamaican dollar (up 19 per cent), the hong kong dollar (up 13 per cent) and the United Arab Emirates dirham (up 11.5 per cent).
Thomsonfly was founded in 1962 and now has a fleet on 47 aircraft, which carries over eight million passengers to 37 countries around the globe each year.
