Morocco 'Becomes a Family Favourite'
Morocco is becoming an increasingly popular holiday destination for families, an expert has said.The trend is partly due to the fact that it has become easier to travel around the north African country as facilities have improved, stated Jane Folliott, commercial director at Orion Trek Voyages and a specialist in Morocco.
People are therefore a lot more confident in taking their children on holiday to the country, she added.
"At Christmas it’s a very popular destination," she continued.
"It's short-haul from the UK, it's exotic, it's for people that don’t want the full-on Christmas kind of thing in their face."
According to a recent survey from travel search engine kayak.co.uk, almost half of respondents are kicking aside their inner Scrooge to jet off somewhere warm this December.
When asked about their ideal winter destination, almost half chose a beach holiday, while nearly a quarter opted for a romantic break in a European city.
