Millions of Brits to getaway this Easter
An estimated two million Britons are set to go on holiday this Easter, according to the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA).The organisation noted that school Holidays are split this year, with a significant number of schools breaking up for the bank holiday and then for a full two weeks next month.
Consequently, the association stated that the number of people travelling during the Easter weekend is lower than in previous years.
Justin Fleming, president of ABTA, said: "The early Easter has given our customers the extra option of heading to the slopes as well as topping up their tans, and the extended peak period has also seen a flattening out of prices."
As a result, holidaymakers may be able to take advantage of the number of "bargains" available at the moment, he added.
Earlier this month, ABTA urged people to ensure they store any valuable purchases made overseas in their hand luggage when returning home.
