Marriott Launches Three New Qatari Properties The international franchiser has opened properties in a new complex at Doha City Center. Spread across two 48-storey towers, the three hotels are a clear reminder of the continuing surge in popularity of the Middle Eastern country.

Renaissance Doha City Center Hotel is the biggest development, with 257 rooms, followed by Courtyard by Marriott Doha City Center with 204 rooms, and Marriott Executive Apartments Doha City Center with 123 units. City Center Mall is located next to the hotels with Qatar Airways dominated Doha International Airport only 15 minutes away.

Mark Satterfield, Marriott’s COO of Middle East and Africa explained: “The opening of the three hotels is a major step forward in reinforcing Doha’s futuristic vision and surging tourism potential in Qatar. With the opening of these new hotels, we now have six properties in the country, which is quickly becoming a key business and leisure destination in the Middle East.” Qatari hotels also managed by Marriott include The Ritz-Carlton with 374 rooms and the Marriott Hotel with 362 rooms, both located in Doha.

General manager of Marriott’s Qatari portfolio Oliver Kahf said: “Not only do we offer close to 600 rooms and three very distinct lodging brand experiences, but our nine distinctive dining options and health and fitness facilities create the wonder of the ‘West End’ and spectacular Doha City Center complex. This unique lodging, shopping and entertainment complex is quickly becoming a tourism hub in Doha for both our hotel guests and locals.”

Flights from the UK are offered by British Airways from London’s Heathrow, and Qatar Airways from Heathrow and Manchester airports.
