Lufthansa Launches Personal Assistant Service
Lufthansa has announced the launch of a new dedicated personal assistant service for first class customers at London Heathrow Airport. As part of the service, the airline is offering those departing from Terminal 2 an escort from the check-in desk through passport and customs controls before going on to the Lufthansa Lounge.
This will enable passengers to pass queues and potentially save time when they arrive at the airport.
Marianne Sammann, general manager of UK & Ireland at Lufthansa, said: "Lufthansa's new Personal Assistant service offers a new and exclusive benefit for our best and most loyal customers flying out of London, further strengthening our leading position in the premium segment."
According to Ms Sammann, London accounts for the highest share of Lufthansa's UK-based "top frequent fliers".
BAA, which operates Heathrow, recently backed plans to build a third runway at the airport.
Mike Forster, business strategy director at the firm, said that the UK would benefit from additional runway capacity.
