Holidaymakers Are Happy Campers
Camping holidays offer "something for all the family" one industry expert has said this week.According to tour operator, Keycamp, camping holidays are becoming "more and more" popular for Brits looking to take a break from city life.
Dave McKenna, head of brand at Keycamp, said: "Unlike many hotels, campsites have acres of land and benefit from a wealth of facilities that will keep the whole family entertained."
He added that Keycamp sites have swimming pools, often with slides and chutes, game rooms, bars and restaurants, plus outdoor and indoor sport facilities.
Dave explained that there is "truly something to appeal to all tastes and ages" on a camping holiday.
Happy campers can take part in the activities that are organised on many campsites as well as enjoy the "whole sociability" of the campsite lifestyle.
In May 2007, the AA acknowledged that travel habits are changing and reported that it had seen a "boom" in the popularity of camping and caravanning holidays.
According to the AA, this "boom" is beginning to impact on the consumer's choice of car.
