Group Travellers Can Benefit From Insurance Discounts

Group travellers heading off on sports holidays could benefit from a discount on their insurance policies, one expert has said this week.

Direct Line Travel Insurance added that money-conscious holidaymakers should be aware that it offers group discounts for up to 16 adults, taking all sorts of trips.

Chris Price, head of Direct Line Travel Insurance, said: "If you are looking to visit Beijing for the Olympics, New Zealand for the rugby tour or Moscow for the Champions League final, make the most of group discounts and ensure you have the coverage you need."

According to official figures released by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office earlier this year, winter sports holidays are becoming increasingly popular, with 20 per cent of Brits taking this sort of break each year.

Furthermore, around one in 10 British skiers incur an injury on the slopes, making travel insurance especially important when taking this type of holiday.
