Good Weather in Alpine Regions is Underestimated
The good weather in Alpine regions is often underestimated by holidaymakers, according to one industry expert.BuyAssociation, a website that offers impartial overseas property advice, made the claims adding that the mountain regions can be "fantastic" for those seeking a "sunshine holiday somewhere a bit different".
Paul Collins, property editor at BuyAssociation, said: "The thing that's often underestimated about alpine properties is just how good the weather is in the summer.
"You get the fantastic clean air in the mountains. You've got the beautiful fresh water lakes that are fed by the melt water from the glaciers and the snow fall."
He added that Alpine properties in France, sold on a leaseback basis, can be a good investment for those seeking to buy a holiday home.
In related news, Austria recently ranked 16th in the '20 best places to make money' chart, compiled by Channel 4's overseas property programme 'A Place in the Sun'.
According to the TV show, average property prices in some ski areas of the country start around at £185,000 and offer investors a return of up to 211 per cent.
