Glasgow Airport Terror Attack Update

Glasgow Airport Terror Attack Update Another arrest was made today in connection with the two failed car bombs in London and the Glasgow airport terror attack. A fifth arrest happened in Liverpool, while police were searching a house in Glasgow as part of a national operation, according to the Guardian.

Police searched a residential area about a mile from Glasgow's airport and carried out a controlled explosion on the suspicious vehicle.

There seems to be links between the car bombs in London and today’s incident in Glasgow, gas canisters similar to those found in the cars in London seen being carried out of the burnt out Jeep.

Gordon Brown raised Britain to its terror alert to ''critical” - the highest possible level, which indicates that MI5 believe a terrorist attack is expected 'imminently'.
He commented that the attackers were clearly linked to al-Qaeda.

Brown urged the public to “continue living normal lives”, but also said: “We can expect that they will use different forms weapons or activity, whether it is planes or cars, to inflict damage”.

“It is clear that we are dealing in general terms with people who are associated with al-Qaeda.”

Terminal 3 was briefly closed Sunday night after a suspect package was found, but reopened once police confirmed the item was safe, authorities said.

Glasgow airport reopened, although some flights were canceled. Cars were not allowed to drive up to the terminal building. Travel disruption can be expected.
