European Theme Parks Revamped for Spring Holidays

European Theme Parks Revamped for Spring Holidays Two theme parks in Europe have been reopened with new features and offers to entice the summer holidaymakers. PortAventura in Spain is reopening on 26 March and to celebrate the park’s 15th birthday, there are a number of special deals to be had.

There is now an all-inclusive deal at the Mexican-themed hotel El Paso. The package includes unlimited entrance to PortAventura, as well as half price entry to the PortAventura Aquatic Park and Beach Club. The hotel is also offering half price queue-busting Express Passes to the theme park to save waiting times.

For UK and Irish customer who book their holidays to the theme park before the end of March, there is the added incentive of 14 days for the price of four. If customers book before June with Thomas Cook, First Choice or Thomson, there are free child places.

The second theme park to be revamped is Disneyland Paris. The New Generation Festival is set for launch on 1 April lasting a year. New and familiar characters will be featured in the new show and parade floats, including Disney and Pixar characters Buzz Lightyear, Princess Tiana and Lilo and Stitch.

Toy Story Playland is set to be opened in August where visitors can witness being shrunk to the size of a toy. Three new attractions are being introduced according to a report on the Travel Weekly website. They are Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop dive simulation, the Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin and roller coaster RC Racer.

The revamped theme parks have hot competition on the horizon though, as Orlando's Wizarding World of Harry Potter is set to open this spring also.
