Dubai Tempts Travellers From East and West
The West will be moving east this summer, if one industry expert is to be believed.
According to a newspaper based in Abu Dhabi, The National, a change in holidaying trends is bringing more travellers to places such as Dubai and those visitors are not just from Europe.
Tourism expert Kulwant Singh tells the publication that while traditionally the nation's holidaymakers have come from Europe, travellers from Asian countries are increasingly visiting Dubai.
Rohit Talwar, the chief executive of UK-based consultancy firm Fast Future, added: "Middle East and Asian tourists are the up and coming (market) and in order to be successful, countries have to learn how to adapt their services to meet the needs of these (travellers)."
The news follows the publication of a piece of research by Cheapflights.com, which revealed that Dubai is now in British holidaymakers' top ten summer destinations.
It was ranked sixth in the list of most-searched for holiday locations on the website, after places such as Tenerife, Orlando, Florida, and Malaga.
