Donald Trump Pushes Golfing Breaks

US TV personality and entrepreneur Donald Trump unveiled his plans to build world-class golf courses at his resort in the Dominican Republic, this week.

At Cap Cana in Punta Cana, Mr Trump will build a condo and a beach club to compliment the new golf courses.

"Cap Cana is one of the most wonderful places in the world, known world wide for its highest level of luxury and exclusivity – with beautiful natural surroundings as well as a solid plan for its development," he said.

Mr Trump stressed that the dominican Republic's good climate made it perfect for holidaying, while its ability to weather the credit crunch boosted its investment potential.

"The present real estate crisis in the US has not affected Cap Cana, as its property owners do not come from one single country, but rather from all over the world."

Hanse Golf Course Design, one of the leading international golf course design companies, has been contracted to build the new golf courses, Farallón and Dolinas, which will both be located above sea level.
