Cruise Ship Cooking for Kids with Celebrity Chef

Cruise Ship Cooking for Kids with Celebrity Chef Children going on board P&O Cruises’ ship Ventura will be able to have cookery lessons with Marco Pierre White, the celebrity chef who has revived British cooking to the highest standard and is known as the godfather of modern cooking in Britain.

The top British chef has his own fine dining room, called The White Room, on board the 3,100 passenger ship. It will be on the theatre kitchen on board that he is to host cookery sessions for groups comprising a maximum of eight adults and children.

The cooking maestro will cook dishes popular in Mediterranean countries, especially fish recipes and various sauces. He will be available to answer questions from participants regarding cooking techniques, recipes and ingredients.

Marco said: “Cooking is a philosophy, not a recipe, so for me it is all about passing on the knowledge I have and about using good ingredients to create simple and flavoursome dishes which can be easily recreated at home.” He added that the sessions on board cruise ships had always been a great success with adults and he had felt it only right to extend the service to children so that they could learn about food and creating some fun dishes.

Meanwhile, P&O Cruises are continuing on with their integrated marketing campaign including brand press supplements, radio and email, running until 31 January.

P&O cruise manager Carol Marlow told TravelMole.com: “Our ‘January Sail’ promotion offers increased value for money in a time when people are looking for ways to save without compromising on experience or quality.”
