Buy Olympic Tickets Before Arriving in China
Holidaymakers have been advised to buy their tickets to the Beijing olympics before arriving in China, this week.According to Real Travel Magazine, tourists who try and purchase tickets in China may wind up buying illegal or fake ones.
Hfu Reisenhofer, production editor of Real Travel magazine, said: "Its probably not the best idea to travel to Beijing with the intention of picking up tickets once you arrive.
"Sportsworld is the only officially appointed ticket agent for the Olympic Games in the UK. If you want to watch any of the events, its best to go through them, but hurry!"
Earlier this month the AFP news agency reported that travel agents in hong kong and Singapore say that China has stopped issuing multiple-entry tourists visas until after this summer's Olympic Games.
However, the Chinese authorities have issued no official confirmation of denial of these rumours.
In related news, Travelex.co.uk said this week that holidaymakers are wising up to fluctuating exchange rates and travelling to destinations where their money will go the furthest.
