Brits' Ideal Holidays Involve Sandy European Beaches

Brits Ideal Holidays Involve Sandy European Beaches Brits have said that their ideal holiday would involve a sandy beach in a European destination, one industry expert has said.

Abbey Savings conducted a study which revealed that UK Holidaymakers have been saving their money over the last year to be able to take this kind of holiday.

Furthermore, 26 per cent of Brits are planning to jet off to Europe this summer, while 57 per cent of Travellers want to find a place where there will not be other UK tourists.

European destinations with sandy beaches include the Spanish island of Majorca, Lido di Jesolo in Italy, and Split in Croatia.

Reza Attar-Zadeh, director of savings and investments at Abbey, said: "There's nothing more satisfying than saving towards a Goal."

However, for some this might not be necessary as the firm's survey found that 23 per cent of holidaymakers will be able to pay for their trip from their monthly wage.

Another 15 per cent said that they will pay for their break using a credit card.
