Binge Holidaymakers Crave Holiday Rentals

"Binge holidaymakers" craving differing travel experiences throughout the year are increasingly renting holiday homes, according to an industry expert.

Research by Mintel has revealed that holiday homes are a popular choice both for renting and purchasing as they provide "a home for all seasons".

Paris, Barcelona and Var in Provence, France were all tipped by Holiday-Rentals.co.uk as top destinations to buy a holiday home in.

Greg Grant, country manager for Holiday-Rentals.co.uk, said: "Holiday-Rentals.co.uk now lists an extraordinary selection of privately-owned holiday homes, enabling travellers to find the perfect home from home for their various holidays throughout the year.

"As investors have become more adventurous there are now hundreds of properties in exotic and secluded locations, as well as city centre apartments and unusual conversions."

Holiday-Rentals.co.uk advises anyone considering renting a holiday home to speak to the owner before confirming their booking to "sound out the property properly" and to check references from previous guests.
