Airports Offer Travel Advice After Terror Attacks
Holidaymakers Travelling through Belfast's two airports have been advised to expect significant delays after the attempted terrorist attack on Glasgow airport, reports the BBC.With airports across the UK banning passenger drop-offs in front of terminals and heightened security levels, substantial travel disruption is probable over the next week at least.
Passengers flying from George Best Belfast City Airport to Glasgow have been advised to check in earlier, while officials at Belfast International Airport have recommended that customers contact their airline or travel agent to find the latest news on flight cancellations.
The Belfast Telegraph reports that security measures have been bolstered in light of the raised threat level.
According to the newspaper, a spokesman said: "The Airport Police remain vigorous in their duties and are maintaining extra vigilance. We are very grateful to the travelling public who have been turning up in good time and coping very well with the situation."
